    We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated qualified Play Assistant to join our team. The role will be for 24 hours per week. The current play assistant works until 13.00 on Mondays and has Tuesday off. Ideally we’d like the successful candidate to mirror these hours until the end of July 2024, when Playgroup closes until September. If you would like to work different hours, we can try to accommodate this. We’re also hoping to be able to offer longer hours to this role from September 2024, depending on whether we can fill all child places.

    We are a friendly and popular community playgroup situated on the edge of Rodborough Common. We provide childcare for children between the ages of 2 years 6 months and 4 years. Our hours are generally between 08:15 and 15:15. The hourly rate is national living wage.

    Working alongside our dedicated and experienced staff team you will assist in the daily running of the playgroup, providing creative play opportunities to meet children’s individual needs and support their development, communicating effectively with parents and carers. Safeguarding children is our priority.

    Previous experience working and caring for children under 5 and an approved level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable but not essential. If the successful candidate is not qualified, we would like to offer an apprenticeship. It’s essential over the longer term that the person in the role becomes qualified, and this will require a commitment to study.

    We are looking for a fundraising coordinator to manage our fundraising activities and to raise the profile of The Family Haven.

    Primary responsibilities will be to coordinate the annual fundraising strategy to secure funding through various avenues, such as, applying to local trusts for grants, producing monthly reports for the trustees, collecting and recording data, managing The Family Haven website and organising donations.

    You must have at least 2 years’ experience of fundraising and be able to commute to location of work.

    Looking to recruit Relief/Bank Staff as soon as possible in our lovely Committee run Pre-School. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 2:30pm, term time for 38 weeks. Therefore cover would be required on an adhoc basis between these times to cover sickness and training.

    The applicant would need to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification, have experience of working within an Early Years Setting and would need to be prepared to carry out any necessary training needed such as Child Protection, First Aid and Food Hygiene. Courses will also be provided to enhance your Continuous Professional Development.

    You will need to fully understand the EYFS, be aware of staffing ratios at all times and help with record keeping and making observations of the children. The candidate will support the full staff team by following our policies and procedures to provide a high standard of childcare.

    We will require you to attend some staff meetings or inset days where needed, communicate with parents in a positive manner and be aware of differing needs of a wide range of children.

    Early Years Practitioner Position Part-time, Fixed Term Contract (until August 2025). The post hours will be:

    • Monday 8:30am – 3:30pm

    We are a voluntary-run charity based in the Leigh Building, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in picturesque Nympsfield. We are open Monday to Friday, term time only.

    We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable individual who is enthusiastic, uses their initiative and is very patient and adaptable. It is desirable (but not essential) for applicants to have First Aid and Safeguarding or be willing to complete this, at the cost of the setting. Applicants must have a minimum Level 3 qualification and experience in Early Years settings. Applicants will develop a good knowledge of the EYFS, be able to work as part of an established team and develop excellent communication skills. There is scope for the right applicant to progress to Deputy Practitioner once they have settled into the role.     Opportunity for Nursery Manager, Permanent, Grade 7 (Starting salary £22,269), 37 hours per week, 39 working weeks per year (includes INSET days). There is some flexibility as to when these hours can be worked.

    This is a unique opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join us in the running of a nursery and pre-school facility for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. It is a chance to join a highly experienced and professional team with the aim of providing an excellent early years setting for local children.

    The successful candidates will be passionate about working in childcare, supporting a team and someone who relishes the challenge of keeping practice current and relevant. Suitable applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to lead and work as a part of a team, have a sound understanding of child development and the Early Years Framework, have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and show a commitment to supporting children with individual academic, welfare and medical needs. Level 3 early years qualification (NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC or equivalent) is an essential requirement. All applicants must have at least 1 year experience working within an early years setting.
