Supporting Children with English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Bilingualism is the norm for many children and families around the world and speaking more than one language has lots of benefits.  Join us for this 75 minute session to learn how to support children and families with EAL. 

During the session we will:

• Define EAL and bilingualism
• Explore some techniques and strategies to help children with EAL to develop their speech, language and communication skills in English
• Explore working in partnership with parents and carers who have EAL 

Delivered by: Sue Asquith, an award winning, freelance trainer and published author with over 26 years of experience in working in the early  years sector including working as a registered childminder, working in affiliation with her local children's centres, working on DfE funded projects, assessing and writing and delivering training throughout the UK and internationally.

• Please note zoom/teams invitations will be sent out 24 hours before the course/meeting starts. We are unable to send out zoom/teams invitations until your invoice has been settled. 
• Payment is required within 7 days of the invoice date or 24 hours before a course/meeting starts (whichever is sooner). If payment cannot be made within this timeframe then please email training@pataglos.org.uk to agree an extension to your payment deadline, otherwise, your place on the course may be cancelled.
