About PATA - who we are

PATA is the largest voluntary sector provider of support to early years childcare and education in Gloucestershire.

PATA (UK) is charitable company, registered with the Charity Commission and Companies House.

The volunteer structure of PATA (UK) Board of Trustees is:

  • Chair, Vice-chair, Treasurer and up to six other trustees
  • For 2015 - 2016 these are Rebecca Flaxman, Elizabeth Martin, Hannah Bowden, Karen Heaton-Jones, Alison Sparey, Amy Williams.

Trustees work very closely with core staff at the PATA Centre, and also line manage senior staff.

PATA is a member of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and a registered training provider with City & Guilds and CACHE for QCF qualifications.

Training opportunities are regularly offered to volunteers to ensure they have the skills and confidence to carry out their duties.

The value of volunteering should never be underestimated, and the knowledge and skills which can be gained by individuals through their commitment bring immense opportunities for personal and professional development.
