PATA has its own Assessment and Training Centre (A&TC) and is a registered provider with City & Guilds and CACHE.  The centre offers a range of national qualifications that includes access to workshops and assessment of performance in the workplace.  The centre receives excellent ratings for its management and training practice, together with positive feedback from learners and employers.  For further details contact a&, or telephone 01452 541244

National qualifications have changed

From September 2010, PATA has been offering Awards, Certifcates and Diplomas on the QCF (Qualification Credit Framework) for working with children & young people, playwork and supporting teaching & learning in schools.  See full programme Summer 2017 and homepage. FUNDING is complex and will depend on age, prior qualifications and employment status. Opportunities are available for the unemployed working as volunteers in some situations.

24+ ADVANCED LEARNING LOANS are now available with all L3 qualifications delivered by PATA for applicants aged 24+ at the start of their learning programme. Loans are not available for the L5 Diploma in Leadership for the CYP. For information and how to apply see here.

APPRENTICESHIPS available in early years and for teaching assistants in schools. 16-18 year olds are fully funded. See here
