SUITABLE FOR: Early Years SENCOs and all those interested in supporting young children with special needs.

COURSE INFORMATION: This session will explore each area of need through a case study for the specific need with tasks and activities to support better understanding. Reflection from own practice will be shared and used to support others understanding of the needs. The session will also look at how different activities within a setting can be inclusive through reflecting on practice in their own setting and then producing information posters to promote inclusive learning environments.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Know the 4 different areas listed in the SEN Code of Practice; identify specific needs usually related to Hearing, Visual Impairment, Learning Difficulties; know 3 ways to include all children when participating in 5 different types of activities in settings; identify specific needs usually related to Speech, Language & Communication Needs.
