To enrol on the Artemis Children's Workforce Induction Programme please:

or post to PATA, Chequers Bridge Centre, Painswick Rd, Gloucester, GL4 6PR This form will allow you to register 5 learners at a time, if you need to register more learners please contact Paula Hayball for a block enrolment form.

Once your booking form and payment has been received and processed the learner will receive emails directly from Artemis, this will enable them to begin the course. Please allow up to 14 working days for this process.

Payment information

Please send payment by cheque or via PayPal, £25 for the Induction Programme and £15 for all other courses. Invoices may be raised on request. As soon as payment is received your enrolment will take place.

  • Children’s Workforce Induction Programme (£25) This is the generic Artemis course for all practitioners. 

New Courses

  • Working with Children with Disabilities (£15) This course is designed to equip practitioners with the knowledge to provide high quality support for disabled children and young people.

  • Working with Parents (£15) This course is an induction to positive parenting structures and strategies, which can inform practice, promote self-efficiency and provide positive outcomes for parents, children and young people.

  • Information Sharing (£15) A course based on the government's guidance for practitioners and managers on sharing information. The course has been mapped to the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) induction standards and has been certified by the CPD service.

  • Integrated Working (£15) This course is vital for agencies and organisations that are involved with children's lives. This course aims to provide the Children's Workforce the tools to support integrated working and to enable them to use common processes, language and systems to their best advantage for children, young people and their families.

  • Child Protection - Level 1 (£15) This course is an introduction to the concept of providing protection to children.  The course will cover understanding the concept, the size of the challenge, how to spot issues of concern and what to do about them.

  • Child Sexual Exploitation (£15) Sexual Exploitation of children has been identified throughout the UK, with both victims and perpetrators coming from a range of social and ethnic backgrounds.  It affects boys and girls.  It's a form of sexual abuse and can have serious impact on every aspect of the lives of children involved.

  • Domestic Abuse (Violence, Forced Marriage and Female Genital Mutilation) (£15) This course will help practitioners understand more about Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA).  It incorporates Forced Marriage (FM), Honour Based Violence (HBV) and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).  It is based on nationally available evidence and good practice and it will also increase understanding of what a Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) is and what it does.

  • Understanding Child Attachment (£15) This course is designed to explain the attachment children have to their main carers.  Understanding the basics of the attachment theory in its various forms and stages can significantly improve outcomes for children.

  • Working with Families (£15) This course introduces the principles and practice of the Signs of Safety Framework and a Solution Focuses Approach.

  • Fire Safety Awareness (£15) This RoSPA accredited online fire safety course helps to provide the knowledge and understanding required to act safely in the event of a fire in the workplace.

  • Asbestos Awareness (£15) Asbestos could be present in numerous locations in both commercial and domestic premises and this course is designed to raise awareness of the risks and dangers associated with exposure to airborne asbestos fibers through unknowingly coming into contact with asbestos materials.

  • Equality and Diversity (£15) This course aims to raise awareness of Equality and Diversity and encourage candidates to take a proactive approach within the workplace.  Equality and diversity can be compromised by candidates' own values, opinions and prejudices.  This course explores how prejudices develop and how they may influence people.  Candidates will gain an awareness of discriminatory practice and gain knowledge on how to promote equal opportunities for all and recognise value
