About PATA

PATA is the largest voluntary sector provider of support to early years childcare and education in Gloucestershire.

PATA's mission is to support the development of high quality, accessible childcare, play and learning provision for children, young people and families.

PATA's vision is that all children and young people will be able to benefit from positive experiences of childcare, play, development and learning so that they can reach their full potential.

PATA's reputation as an excellent source of support and information for children's groups is built on experience and expertise. We are specialists in the voluntary sector, and continue to develop our services within and beyond Gloucestershire

PATA supports more than 12,000 children and their families in 250 settings through eight areas in Gloucestershire: Cheltenham, Cirencester, North Cotswold, Dursley, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Stroud, and Tewkesbury. We also have active members outside the county.

PATA is a membership organisation.
Member settings include baby and toddler groups, pre-schools and playgroups, out-of-school clubs, holiday playschemes, day nurseries, creches, children's centres.

PATA (UK) is a charitable company run by and for its members. The Board of Trustees is formed from people from all parts of Gloucestershire.

PATA is proud of its partnerships
with the voluntary and private sectors, local authorities and other local and national organisations. We actively support and deliver aspects of the Government’s national agenda supporting children from birth to 16 years old in early years and childcare settings.
